******************************************************************
F-16A Falcon "Wannabe"
By Matt Baker
February 1994
******************************************************************
This is an FS4/ASD aircraft that flys like an F-16, but only
slightly resembles it visually. That's why I call it a "wannabe"
(teen talk, pronounced 'wanna-be'). I designed this aircraft
using pure number-crunching, and that is how why it flys so well.
***** Flying *****
The F-16 is a very hot aircraft. I take off with flaps at the F5
or F7 position. At about 120 knots, lift the nose off the ground.
The climb, like the entire flight, is touchy. Cruise at about 50%
power. The plane will get up to about 680 knots, and the controls are only marginally lost at that speed.
Landing is fast and steep. I drop the power and put the flaps all
the way down, and if I need more speed on approach, I will max the
throttle real quick and then dump it down again.
Overall I will admit that this plane is more for hot-dogging than
anything else. I like to record demos of barrel roles or vertical
climbs (oops- I forgot to tell you that it will do a vertical climb!)
and show them off to my friends!
***** Shareware / Registration *****
I really hate shareware programs that aren't worth half of what
the author wants for them, so I am giving you an option. Instead
of me telling you what to send, send what you honestly think it's
worth. That way we're both happy. And while you're at it, fill out
the registration paper. That will let me know if I should make more
of these planes!
Be on the watch for the F-20(W) Tigershark!
Hope you enjoy!!
